Best Bars In Prague ?

Logically, because of the location, a high number of tourists can be found in downtown discos & bars like Roxy, Duplex, Karlovy Lazne, Club Lavka, Zlaty Strom, La Bodeguita, Double Trouble, M1, Bombay

For after parties I haven't been to any for about six months so i don't know LAX-Lavka, but it should be a good space, with its outdoor patio. People can chill in the morning next to the river while the weather is still good! Like the old Prague!!

Studio is an ecstasy fueled crowd, so if that isn't your scene, you might prefer going somewhere else. Le Clan is a bit more diverse, it goes thru its phases. Recently i've preferred winding up the night at misch masch which closes at 5AM. After a night there if youre not ready for sleep, you might have some new friends to show you where to go!

For the roadmap, it depends what you like. But you can start at Chateau or Bombay or after 10PM M1, Aloha bar, tretter's (these two are a bit older more upscale than bombay. M1 is younger than it was a few years ago when it was the favorite of visiting movie stars, but it can be fun if you hit it on a good night and get out of there early. By 12 it is so packed you can't move. Bombay is really the "foreigner trying to meet local girl" thing but most of the locals are not originally from prague. Lots of people from farther east or slovakia. Lots of resident foreigners. it seems to have captured all of the bad elements that used to be found at solidni nejistota, without the saving grace of an abundant supply of beautiful women that are easy to meet! bombay is a good pick for an early drink (say afterwork until 10PM) or nightcap (say 3AM or after). Chateau is the basic expat, tourist bar. you can start drinking there at 4PM and you'll have lots of company.

At 11 or 12 you can head over to KU bar which is good until about 1AM at which time people go to clubs, nowadays it seems to have a large gay population, but weeknights are sometimes pretty good. Also Aloha and Tretter's are good for just chilling and drinking in one place all night if you want a quieter evening.

From 12 or 1AM you can hit your favorite club. MischMasch and Mecca are a taxi ride away on the other side of the river. Once you're tired of them you can hit the afters, but If you get to LeClan before 5AM you'll have the place to yourself. Studio gets going around 6-7AM.

My favorite afterclub is definitely S54. This is a real music club where people party till in the afternoon.

Le clan is more a bar than a music club and do not stay open so late (usually till 8 or 9am during the week days).

Lax is a new afterclub that opened in june so you should give them little time to be known.

By the way, there is another new afterclub that also open last spring: Party club. It

I would have two more questions, if you do not care.

First, which afer party club would you recommend? Le Clan, LAX-Lavka or Studio 54?. And which would be the less desirable one?

And second, it would be really nice if you could submit a "route map" of Prague bars for a night out. I mean, some kind of "first drink, here, then go there..." I got good reviews of "Bombay Cocktail Bar" and "M1 Lounge". What do you think about them?

Anyway, I assume it is open and working normally, isn't it? What about the door policy? Strict?

For thos of us who live here in prague have no problem with studio, only thing is you will have to learn czech before you go in and think your gonna do any picking up, you have to be way past pivo and prossim to pull it off

Chances of you finding a girl who is loud n proud and looking for some free pills and drinks followed by some decent company are fairly good provided you can comunicate with them, they are very friendly and wont mind you being a foreigner provided you can talk to them and are not irritating.

I've just got back from Prague ..... damn.... I wish I knew this place existed whilst I was there.

You could always pop into club neon before hand it must only be two doors away.

Studio is famous in all Czech Republic thanks to his parties taking place at festivals like Machac, Cosmic trip, Sazava fest... as well as special parties in several discos where Studio dj

Generally the hardcore after parties are to found at a place called Studio.

Studio caters to the totally pilled up club bunnies who tend to enjoy going a little longer than the rest. the club is open from 3am - 12pm enjoy.

Girls there are your younger variety, and will almost certainly be off there faces on pills.

Wow! That looks like one cool place! Been scouring the web looking for some new cool bars I ain't tried there yet, and lo and behold Pentire has delivered one!

There is a cover charge on some nights but for men only (100 or 150 czk), girls have always free entrance.

Le Clan is a regular bar, not a sex club! There is no girls on sale there like in night clubs! In the back room there are some guys selling differents things but no girls

Le Clan is not reserved for couples, so singles can also get in without problem. There is a face control but if you

No entrance fee and I tend to arrive around 4am when the place is buzzing.
You usually find a great crowd of folks in there and on at least one occasion I have turned up alone and soon got involved with a mixed group having fun.
I am yet to sample the delights of the dark room but plan to in due course and indeed I once took two girls there and one of them would have been right up for that, instead she danced around the pole until stark naked displaying her fantastic body to all of those who were there that night
From what I have seen, the only girls employed by LeClan are the serving staff.
No point in going there before 3am, as this place seems to get going after then.

Anyone know of other great bars to just hang out and get trashed

Looked at the site and it looks a great place to go but any chance of some more info about it. Is it a place you can go on your own or a couple of lads or is it more couple oriented. Are there available girls there as I see they have a dark room that couples can go in or do you have to bring your own! Is there an enterance fee to get it and are the drinks expensive and finally, I noticed that they close at 11.00am Sunday morning does that mean that you can arrive there in the early hours or is it only for the ones that are already in there.

It is a great place to go and relax especially with some female company but it also seems to encourage plenty of characters and anything can happen in there I find
