If massage is the gateway to great health, this board should be made up of the healthiest folks in the province. Good on Alberta to at least post the stats on 1.9% of covid deaths, no known comorbidities. 3 or more comorbidities contributed 77.3% of deaths, 2 or more at 92.5% of deaths. Average age of covid death at 82%. Hypertension was present among 87.8% of those who died, and 56.7% had dementia. Is there anything better than frequent massage to keep us calm and relaxed?

One might even speculate that trying to keep mental track of the dozens of Asian masseuses with the same names keeps dementia at bay

Don’t you think it’s kind of odd that bars were one of the first places that re-open and have stayed open? Bars are basically nothing but social gatherings! But the government kept them open when other businesses were closed? Why is that? Maybe the money they get tax wise from the booze they sell! This is Canada not a communist country! Global population is 7800 million. Covid deaths at 1.58 million. That is 0.02%. Current global stats, in an average year 140 million babies are born, and there are about 55 million deaths in all. So for the greenies who are ardently seeking Zero population growth, the delta is still at +85 million new people each year.. Covid has hardly made a dent. In fact, for several years in most western nations the flu deaths were unusually low (inoculations, and lots of pharmaceuticals), so covid, in fact is just pruning out the population thickening at the upper age band. Now Canada's life expectancy is at 82. So what is so odd about dying in that age window? Now, we will be hit by the barrage of yodellers talking about ICU capacity.. now we only had about 9 months to plan out covid dedicated field hospitals. Our ICU's have loads of equipment not needed to manage covid patients, required for other types of critical care.

And it was absolutely essential to keep the casinos open till this Sunday morning .. the public servants speak of closing casinos and gyms in the same sentence. Pathetic bunch.

I don't want to get into Covid discussion but I will really miss GE. I have been there twice in last one week. I don't know how I am going to survive. The fear I have is that I might not see them again in case they go under due to all the bs of restrictions. I really hate myself for trying GE so late.

My GF travels from work, and she's going to be working from home for the next month, at least. I'm happy about this, not only to have her here, but this will reduce the number of contacts she has. I've been very careful over the last almost nine months, save for my visits to XP/TT. I will miss massage visits, but we're really getting to the "out of control" point in terms of the pandemic, and so I hope this helps. Many of my friends and family are health care workers, including front line emerg staff and they're running on empty.

So, can you arrange to 'remove' the people who don't know basic grammar and lack communication skills too? Since you can decide, I'd really appreciate it as the world would be so much more pleasant without them. I mean, since we are deciding who matters and who doesn't, why not Eh? I call BS. I spent my entire working life involved in the health care system and most of my family and friends are still involved, including front line work in the ED, ICU, etc. I don't know ONE health care worker that says it's a joke, a hoax or not serious.

Yes, the death percentages are low, and yes most who have died had other issues. However those individuals might have lived years longer with pre-existing conditions such as High blood pressure which is treatable.
As for the low percentage of deaths, I suspect that number would seem a hell of a lot more critical to you if one of them was your mother, wife, daughter, or friend. What often gets missed in quoting the numbers is the incredible strain this is all putting on the health care system and the fact the numbers would be higher if not for that very system.

On a last note, you are certainly entitled to your opinion, but bear in mind that "opinions are like assholes, everyone has one"
