Google Earth MP Listing

Hi folks.

I just finished (well, not totally finished, but finished enough to justify sharing it with massageplanet.netites) entering a pile of MP locations into "Google Earth".

I have uploaded the files and basic instructions to http://theyare.totallyboning.us/ where you can download the files, load them into Google Earth and enjoy.

Special thanks to Romeo for all the work he has done on compiling the information in the first place.

Any comments, questions, suggestions, concerns?

Yes Google Earth is great as is your mapping.

In the airport area am I blind or should the area also include the popular SRM?

Unless you want to do it, I may do the same thing for the massage places in Hamilton/Niagara Falls. I already have listings for them all on my Niagara Region site would be easy to do mapping (once I learn how!).

Microsoft and a couple others now have similar "earths" some have advantages over Google's and its a race to who has the most recent sattelite data - or in some cases as seen from the ground data with more street level photos and which has the best features.

Competition and free enterprise is great for new useful ideas.

Maybe you can do with Google maps what Romeo does such a great job with the listings and keep it up to date etc if you want to be the "Keeper". If you don't I'd actually offer to host it - but I think you have a great idea and could be a great resource if you keep it up and up to date like Romeo does on his listing.

BTW, was geat to meet Romeo 2 weeks ago at the Hamilton party.

No, you're not blind. Many MPs in the airport / Brampton / Mississauga area are missing. Whenever I put an address in from around those areas, many of them come up with yellow page listing, or some similar list of business in that area. I have to wade through the list to see if the place I'm looking for is included. I will attempt to update the information for West GTA in the next few days. But it just takes extra time and effort in these cases.

If you or anyone else wishes to "own" any specific area, you can certainly go ahead and put the information into Google Earth, and I will provide the information necessary for you to upload the files to the main site (first come first served.)

I don't necessarily want to "own" this,and would actually prefer that more regular hobbiests be the ones who keep things going (I'm more of an occasional hobbiest ... coming out maybe two months per year, then going into hibernation for the rest of the year. I'll be "active" probably until End of Aug, so I'll be happy to "manage" the process till then, but I think it's more work than I want to keep the whole thing up to date on any kind of regular basis.)

AnimalMagnetism. if you have information on MPs in that area (my home area as well) I'd be more than happy to include the information in the next update ... but I think we live in some kind of MP back hole. I know there's one or two on the Danforth around Pape, and I will add those eventually, but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of MP activity in our part of the city.

I have just created a GoogleEarth file for the MPs in Etobicoke
Fortunately the format was easy to understand (not from Microsoft)

I personally don't see the benefit of Google Earth over Google Maps unless you want to map your own points like work, home and gf in amongst all the MPs

I prefer the Google Maps (thin client) oover Google Earth (fat client) approach.
Runs fast, nothing to install

I think for most occasional hobbyist, Google Maps is all they really need, but for those more serious hobbyist the advantages of Google Earth are IMO:

1) Better facility for individuals to add, delete, sort, arrange, and adjust the "overlay" to meet specific needs.

2) You can easily keep a "personal" copy of these the locations with private comments and reviews simply by creating a separate folder, doing a copy / paste of a visited MP, and add your comments to the copy of the location marker.

3) Trusted exchange of personal reviews. If you want to exchange your personal reviews with people you trust, you can simply email your private folder / location marker (with all comments) to that friend.

4) Mobility: If you don't mind dragging your laptop with you , Google Earth can operate on its cache, so if you're on a "gem safari" you can have your MP database come along with you for the "big hunt."

Google Earth, as you pointed out, is a "thick client", and anyone with an older computer might find it too slow to be of much convenience, as with anything, ymmv.

And good work Romeo on your map as well, I need to link to it from my site especially for Hamilton/Falls.

I think Google Maps is a bit easier to read to find addresses and can also easily print out (you can with Earth also).

Earth is a bit more "fun" since you can fly in like a space alien and see the buildings allthough resolution is not good enough to see the gals - Google next should develop Google Xray to see into the buidlings and into the rooms but could be just a small privacy issue especially if sees naked folks or those having sex.

The ultimate would be Romeo's map clicking on a MP to fly you there with Google Earth! Such wonders of modern technology and the Internet.

For some reason, mapping software always puts SRM on the wrong side of 407. The correct location of SRM can be entered by right-clicking on it in "Places" in Google Earth, check the "Advanced" box, click the "Location" tab, and enter these values:

Google Earth has a "gmail" function with which you can send location information. So anyone who has an update for a location can do the following:

1) In their own Google Earth, make the necessary changes to the location marker (ie. move it to the right location, fix any incorrect information, etc.)

2) Right click on the location marker and select the "Email" option.

3) Click the "GMail" image.

4) Enter your gmail ID and Password (note: I have set up a general gmail ID that you can use if you don't already have a gmail ID, or are concerned about privacy ... use ID / Password of [email protected] / massageplanet.netite ... please only use this gmail account via the Google Earth interface. I will be deleting all email in this account on a very regular basis, and if it is abused I will close it down.)

5) Email the update to [email protected]

When I get your email I will then import it into my Google Earth and upload the updates to the web page.

More updates and additions available including information from AnimalMagnetism's Danforth "walk-about".

I have also started a "Toronto Traffic Cams" interface for Google Earth, so anyone wondering if they can make it across town (actually, at this point it's mostly just up and down the DVP) to visit their favourite MPA without getting stuck in traffic can get that information all in one place.

There's also information on how to get Google Earth to automatically update these files so you don't always have to be checking in and downloading the latest files. That way I will only have to announce when I create new files, and not when I update already existing files.

Just to let everyone know that I have moved the Google Earth Toronto Erotoc Massage Guide site to a new location ---- http://maps.getem.ca/

The old locations was a free hosting site, and I will not be removing that site (the free hosting company may decide to do so, but I have no control over that decision.) There will be no more updates to the old site, and any new updates will be made to only the http://maps.getem.ca/ site (speaking of which, there has been a few updates made recently.)


I moved the site in order to more easily add some database functionality to the site, and I am currently working on what should be a sort of "SP / MP phone number wikki" service (more on that later as I sort things out on the specifics, but the basic feature will be so that someone with only a partial phone number will be able to search all the "known" SP/MP numbers for potential matches.)

I tried to look up Carmery using Google Maps. It shows as being up at Midland (on the west side) close to Finch, when it is actually close to Sheppard a block East of Midland. Is this a general problem with Google Maps?
