The challenge is to know a place so well that you can predict the flow and act accordingly. I only know one place that well for example. Unless you have someone inside giving you true intel. As you know if you call they will ALWAYS say "no busy, come now"

Things sure heated up here quickly I'd say. I had an "unpleasant" experience as well at WJT not too long ago, within month I'd say. I was in shock and awe, too riled up to be angry even for the most part. After cooler heads prevailed I assigned a root cause that I could not prove, but one that's certainly plausible or more importantly, is fair. Here's the basic's...

Called from parking and no one was there, place empty. I go in, it's no lie, though I'm likely the only clown to book 45 min in a week or so. Speeding story up.... After about 15 minutes in to my appt. can hear outside door open, girls gentle voice, guy led to room. And every 5 minutes that happened again, and again, the only thing changed was girls hurried voice. Come close to the 30 minute mark of my appt. there was a very quick but flustered Chinese conversation come through my rooms door (at the height of my party I might add). 5 minutes after my 30 minute time of 45 min appt. and all hell broke loose from outside my door in calling through the door for help it seemed, while I thought to myself, "I have to learn Chinese because I really want to be in on this conversation." Banging on the door would likely have been less disturbing, that's how bad it was.

Was I angry, yup. Does that help, no. Did they plan to "piss me off," no way. So what went down? I could say they are this, that, and the other thing, and I might actually be correct but what if something else happened? What if the Boss (or whomever the other girl was - seemed like only 2 working) assumed I was there for only 30 minutes like the other 50 dudes that won't spend a dollar more than 30 minutes because they can finish in 20 and they know the massage sucks. So me booking 45 might have caught them off guard, the girl with me had no control and I think the first exchange she had was likely "done in a few minutes" or something inexact, while the other girl / boss was left juggling at least 3 other customers. And so after 30 minutes it was likely assumed I was in overtime and that's when shit really hit the door.

What if a girl, or even two, never came to work (sick COVID ??? Who knows) and that's what really was what got the time bomb ticking here. I can bet the people after me did not enjoy a relaxing time either. Should SPA's send people away when faced with these challenges? If it's a customer they know I think they can or do (they have for me at another SPA) but for anyone else, I think if they say "we are too busy" the client walks never to be seen again.

For me I would go back but not until I thought of a way to communicate in a very simple way in order that I might have some better control myself over what's to take place.

Now back to the OP - The part of a conversation and talk of 100 is not definitive enough to know for sure what really transpired. Can we say for certain the other guy had not booked an appointment by phone / text earlier? Should she then say, "I'll just be a minute, back after I boff this guy next door, sit tight, and oh ya, unlike you, he had an appointment." I can't know if that's what happened, but it could have.

You come across to me as a bit closed minded though it might be because you've been so riled about this experience. Did you come here to just vent or to receive constructive feedback?

I remain unconvinced there was not something else going on that you were unaware of, or could not have been aware of. I mean, what about the other MPA's and the Boss lady, where were they at during all this? I had a similar experience as you (at another SPA - and I bet others have same experience, thoughts, worries) where my MPA leaves the room, I hear moaning in next room and I'm thinking my MPA is working two rooms, but then my MPA comes back in and the moans in the other room continue (to my relief). And assuming you are here for suggestions, my advice to you is,,,,

Never give a single penny to anyone that you don't know their name, asking someone's name is not only security for you, it means the MPA is highly unlikely going to attempt to pull a fast one (you have a name to report to boss), and as well, it's just simple respect and politeness in caring to know someone by their name. Also, I make a point of asking if she is "my" MPA. Because if I don't ask then after I pay, and she leaves, the MPA returning is big bertha.

If you had a name, had reported the incident to the Boss, and still we're totally unsatisfied then it would be far less likely this was not just some big misunderstanding. I'm not saying I don't believe what you think happened, or that it might happen again. Rather, I think labelling the place a "shit hole" for what might have been one cockeyed MPA's actions is not putting things in the proper perspective (being riled up can do that to anyone) and it makes one wonder what else might have been misconstrued.
