A friend works in Toronto General and she told me they were never as busy as the TV told you. That's how you create fear, wake up, or keep sleeping, up to you.
If the dancing tiktok nurses around the world didn't give you clue, then I don't know what would have.

So what? That doesn't prove anything. Maybe she worked in a hospital that was better equipped and had better staffing levels. You can't paint every health care facility with the same brush. There are also other cities and small towns in Canada other than Toronto.

She told me THEY WERE NOT AS BUSY as your TV told you, it proves that they lied. In fact, they were understaffed because they cut hours and that's how you can technically say "hospitals are understaffed".

COVID was real and will always exist but the measures we put in place did more harm than good in the long term. Of course, the rich, elitist and tone deaf assholes will think we are in a great place today due to all of the lockdowns because they weren't affected one bit by it. It was easy for them to lecture people about what to do during that time. They were the Karens in the grocery stores and food markets.

The measures that were put in place caused emotional and mental issues with people especially children due to isolation because of school closures, activities and sports. Even outdoor playgrounds were closed off, which the government admitted that it was a mistake because kids were stuck at home with nothing to do.

Why did they cut hours in the middle of a pandemic? That's just one hospital though. Not every hospital is the same. Not every city is the same. I saw the dancing videos of nurses dancing. That's just a creative way of relieving some stress, not unlike any other work place. I'm sure the dancing was done on their breaks. Every worker is allowed a ten minute break every two hours.

Spas had to face closings and restrictions as well. It was just like school. They went back and forth from being opened and closed several times. Other measures were forced such as registering your name and phone number, you couldn't sit in the waiting room, and other things. So you can't say it was business as usual. Just about the only business that wasn't affected was the beer stores. Because maybe Doug Ford likes his beer? Ha ha ha. The measures put in place were not designed to break people. It was designed to break the virus. And that's what we achieved didn't we? Just think for a minute. What would have happened if the government did nothing at all? Would things be better right now? I think not. Tons of people would still be dieing today, and you never know, you probably wouldn't be here right now.

For me it was the fear and panic in the first two weeks. First case in Canada was somebody working in the BMO tower downtown Toronto. IF, big IF, COVID was as bad as the Government told us, then everyone in that BMO tower, everyone riding elevators, everyone walking in the PATH, everyone on subways, everyone on the GO Train, should have caught COVID, keeled over and died.
The polar opposite happen in reality. That's is when I figured out COVID was a hoax

The spas should have NEVER BEEN open at all period if was such a deadly virus. But open spaces like parks were closed? Make that make sense.

In basketball they call it a full court press, the media and government were relentless in pressuring the world to get the jab.

In new York you'd get free burger and fries. Krispy Kreme gave a free donut if you got the shot.
