Got in the room with chairs and a table and Sasa brings in the pail of hot water for the pre-massage soak, smiles and says she will be right back. And a great smile it was; and first impressions were soon confirmed when she returned: short fashionable haircut framed her super cute face, upbeat, sparkly personality and a real calm and pleasant demeanour. She apologized for her limited English, but a foot massage to start was a great opportunity for google translate to prove its worth, and allowed an easy ice-breaking conversation to get to know each other. She is a smart girl, attractive in every sense, with a very appealing hour glass shape, and she really laughs and smiles with her eyes: just a genuine nice lady and a joy to be with.

How does she manage with calloused feet?

No idea, as mine are baby smooth. But the lady is strong, great arms as I noted, and I doubt anything would be too much for her to handle.

My suggestion, take a break from posting in a certain puppet show thread, and use the time to go for a manicure/pedicure. Lots of places offer men that service at around $50, and a $10 tip is received with real appreciation. A lady friend from spa world suggested I spoil myself and that self care is important; and she was right. Also that women notice a man's hands, and good grooming goes along way in making a first impression. An hour of your time, great attention to detail, they will take care of your calluses with skill and gusto ("callous" is a not so nice attitude). Then once your feet are spiffy and refreshed, get those tootsies massaged. Especially since you go to the gym regularly, comfortable and relaxed feet really make a difference.

I sometimes visit spa world right after a manicure/pedicure, and show my hands to the ladies, I hint it is to make sure my touch is pleasing to them, and get an appreciative nod or giggles in response. Oh, and take a break from the puppet show if I haven't mentioned that. That charade only serves one person and causes many ladies grief and unnecessary unpleasantness.

Whoops. Got interrupted. Despite being as much as I am on here, it’s not my primary preoccupation. I have DM’d you what I spend a lot of my time on; I guess it wasn’t obvious then but my spend on that other thing is more than my spend on spas, believe it or not. And definitely much more time. I know I’ve said I am a short fat dude but a majority of my friends are women. It’s just an odd time in my life right now and I think I will be exiting the spa world soon enough.

No doubt. Mine revolves around reading and writing, coffee, golf, and of course availing myself of the bounty that is Spa World. Also after living abroad for decades, now able to spend time with my male friends, the core I have known since primary school. Male friendship, having guys who know you, and know whatever you say comes from a place of true friendship is essential.

I know you dragon boat and visit the gym for self care; wondering if you are a cyclist?

But to the point of this thread, I suggest to everyone, a visit to JR and the ministrations of the skilled crew of lovely ladies on staff should be central to any evolved man's self care routine. Keep the plumbing clean and flowing, basic maintenance for buildings and people.
