Honestly, $100 can get you alot of mileage. For myself i am always trying to establish a connection and tip them base on their service. I sometimes over tip maybe $20 more above the market rate...if i feel if they were that good. Everyone is happy at the end of the day.

Overall I am not looking for high mileage. I have that with my regular holistic visits. For JR and others, I visit to have a Massage and some fun.
$100 is my starting point. After that if I repeat with the same Spa/MPA I might and have tip extra.
The other place was Blue Nile. That is close but I did not go back as well because I was not too excited about the place or the MPA I was with.
As far as establishing a connection, like I said I leave it to the MPA. If they feel comfortable to do so, then yes, there might be but I am not going to haggle and discuss what I can or should get. Like I said they are experienced enough to know what a customer expects when they tip $100.
I can hold a conversation with them in English, Canto or Mandarin. It is up to them what they want to do.

I have since decided I am not going back to JR.

Absolutely. Don’t want someone doing something just because I paid $100. If I wanted that, I’d go Holistic (which in the past I’ve enjoyed) Now I always go with the flow, look for a connection. If it’s not there then so be it. I move on and save some money. When there’s a connection the sky’s the limit.

Are you sure it was Nancy? I know Nancy very well. She is restrictive and never do too much service so I doubt that she will ask for more unless you are tipping her too low. She is always happy with $40 tips. If you tip only 20, most girls will ask for more for sure. Receptionists.... Annie the young girl with glasses is very reliable, very efficient and knows what she is doing.
