My fellow country men! Good, bad or ugly?

Yeah in some ways I like to get away from my own countrymen when overseas. It's great to mix it up. I don't understand why so many especially the Italians stick together like glue. Yesterday I was at a Sauna and there were 6 Italian guys that have been here a long time and they didn't move more than 2 feet apart from each other. Sauna, shower, pool, sauna, shower. My girlfriend noticed it first and then it was really amusing.

I met an American on one of my earlier trips. We sat in a bar on Karon circle and got pi#*ed then i noticed i had been buying all the rounds, when i asked if he was buying he said they don't do rounds in America...end of session!

Worst bloke I ever met for not buying a round was an Australian.

After work every Friday same guys in the pub, he would wait until everyone else had had a round and then 'have to go home'. After 4 weeks we stopped officially drinking after work and would meet up without him.

Just an individual wanker, certainly not a national trait. same with the Septics in my book.

Reminds me of a cheap fcuk. A friend of mine used to tell me how cheap his friend was. It was confirmed by me when he showed up to a party with an open bottle of wine, half empty and presented it to the host. American of Italian descent.

I bet he drank the other half 10 mins later and then another 5 bottles throught the night. I had a mate that would buy one round every 5 or so full rounds... Ie. only chip in 20% of his share and then make an issue the next day about how expensive his night was. He is not a bad bloke but a bit of a joke to all for how cheap he is.

Also had a French guy that I went out with in Patong one night. Hit a bar and he paid the bill... about 2000 baht. I said go halves and he said no you pay the next place... we walked to go to another bar and he got a call and had to go. About a week later he told a friend of mine I was cheap and he paid for all drinks.... WTF! Spent 2 weeks trying to get him back to patong from Karon for a night out. Paid for everything and he is a good friend now but don't know how he got his wires crossed.
