I do it all the time in toronto, i dont see the problem? As far as the police know, i was only there for a massage, no proof that anything else happened between closed doors.

Girls definitely prefer cash for the tip... I could maybe see putting the room fee on CC but never the tip.

nah, but to be fair in toronto i've only been to purple sugar so far. over here in london, its cash only unfortunately

It is 99% cash in Toronto as well. I’ve seen the machines but only have seen them used at club dynasty or flirt where you pay for all services up front, and tips cash in the room if you want. Not obligated though there

Point of information: the federal government (Asshole Turdo) has recently made it legal for merchants to charge extra for using credit cards, which I hate them doing that. Let's just hope merchants won't be stupid enough to do that.

What's wrong with that? You have no idea how credit works

Marchand pays the credit card companies and the cost is passed on to the customers. Why paying more if I pay cash?

Don't worry. I know exactly how credit works. I didn't say there's anything wrong with it. Just that it's going to cost you more to use credit than for cash. Merchants may want to recoup the loses from paying the fees when the customer pays with credit. Also, merchants pay higher fees when a customer uses a premium credit card as opposed to a regular credit card. But paying by debit card won't have any effect. Using a debit card is the same as using cash. In case you didn't know, from my experience from traveling in the States, all service stations have 2 different prices for gas. One for credit, and one for cash. Which can be a difference of anywhere from 5 to 10 cents per gallon. You'll probably see more of that in Canada soon.

I think it is fair practice to charge more if pay by credit... that way I see the real cost of credit and decide if cumulating travel points is worth the cost.

Your original post suggests that you are against it.

No, I was just stating the fact the Canadian federal government has just recently made it legal to charge more if you decide to use a credit card instead of cash. It was just a short time ago, like a few months back. Before that, it wasn't legal to do so.
