Ok....u talked me into it. SHORTLY, after the above emoji, I tried a walk-in with no luck. That's what led me to Strathcona. With "Candy" at Strathcona, not quite hitting the mark, and positive reviews of Rosewater's "Jennifer", I decided that I better set up a massage with "Jennifer".

If I could sum up the visit up in two words: it would be "hummanahumanna oolaaalaaa". And yes, those are actual words....from the Botswana tribe Ogopogoo.

Jennifer wasn't wearing makeup, but stll looked young and gorgeous. Probably thirties, but she sure looked like she could pass for at least late twenties. (First surprise)

Great time management and massage skills for someone who looked so young. (Second Surprise) Rare, for what I have generally experienced from younger therapists. (Even though I have experienced it from 40 to 50 plus, as well)

She gave the fullest body massage since my last visit with "Winnie". And on multiple occasions, she would make sure I was relaxed and "putty" in her hands...by massaging the back of my Neck. Even though I got my massage with her in the morning, after a good night's sleep, she practically put me to sleep, multiple times.
The only places she didn't massage, were the stomach, face and feet.... (which is farely common). But, she more than made up for it, with a great scalp massage. (Third Surprise)

Thought it was very unique, that she went for hot towels, before starting on the legs. Then, after the first leg, before entering the groin area, she popped the question. I will give you a hint: it wasn't: "What did u think about the Lucic trade?" Although her English was good enough, to ask such a question. As such, you might find: the trade, and what she and our Edmonton Oiler's G.M. got for pricing, might make you very happy. (Fourth Surprise)

(Fifth Surprise): The Facilities. For a semi-legit place, this may be the nicest place, I ever will go to. From the comfy, new, and heated massage beds(perfect for winter, or those cool, rainy days), elaborately painted walls, super fresh smelling towels and linen, multiple ways to pay...and steam shower. I mean...a fricken steam shower. If I have even been in a steam shower, this was the first time, in a very long time. Not even sure, if I operated the buttons properly, but it sure felt great.

Time Management & Massage Skills: 8

Any negatives: I guess...a couple. I had one interuption, for a walk-in, but it was very quick. And she seemed to take a few minutes extra, at the end. I didn't get a robe, to walk to the shower. But, these are negatives, I can live with.

I have found my new favorite place, and lady...on the south side. Not sure, if I will feel the need to return to No.1 on the North side. My next visit will be Rosewater....but...not for a long time. My massage budget is now....shot to shit!

Jennifer is nice and agree with MM on her level of skill and professionalism. Yumi Is younger as well but I didn’t feel the massage was as good as Jeniffer, I also saw an older lady there who was very flirtatious and had a nice massage style. I did not get her name. It’s either Crystal or Lisa who are the other two working there.

I've also seen Crystal - and can confirm the first review of her in this thread - she is very attractive, has a softer, more sensual way about her. But the massage did not reveal any real skills like Jennifer had. It was a lot of forearm and elbow, an inability to reduce the pressure, and she would rub along an area then start grabbing or squeezing the muscle area hard, or pushing down with her thumbs. Its not hard to figure out what a tight muscle area is, but she had no idea how to properly massage it when she found it. And the jackhammer is no lie. She engaged in a little more 'talk'... but she wouldn't slow down on the finish either, it was one of the top 3 or 4 jackhammers i've every experienced.

So, i don't need to be seeing her again. Haven't been able to line up with Yumi yet. Also might go try Helen at Good Energy.

Thanks for the review, Yumi in my opinion is similar to Crystal. Hellen is Winnie from No.1 spa.

Thank you so much. Now, I defintely don't have to give No.1 a second try with the new staff. Too bad, she just didn't call herself Winnie again....would have saved me from trying out other places.

Say what? I booked an appt and got the confirmation number and now you tell me that it dosen't mean shyt. Or I can see Yumi and not have to waste 2 hours in the area for Jen. Yumi came out so I said well ok. After sitting in the room for 20 minutes she finally came in and get to work on me. Lots of lotion and elbows for the most part with no teasing at all so I am thinking of other places to go to on the way home. On the flip it was obvious of my intention and she did ask and upselled which I hate and decided that I am here let's get it over with. Took a shower after and was still disappointed in the experience. 7/10 and if I come back I will be sure I get who I book or walk. Enough of the bait and switch.

I’ve been going occasionally for quite a while and notice the decline in quality. Sounds like they’re busier and can’t manage the business properly. To bad as it’s hard to bring back lost customers.

I had Jennifer twice, first time was really good, but she seemed a bit tired on the second time. Nevertheless, she was good enough that I booked her for a third time with an appointment over the phone 2 hours ahead. When I got there, they pulled the same thing that I have to wait an hour an half if I want Jennifer. I was given Yumi - and I will give her a 6.5/10. I agree that their services have deteriorated. If I am going to the deep south, I will go to Good Energy. I have never been stood up by any of the ladies in Good Energy and their services have been consistently good.

After all of the reviews, I booked an appointment with Jennifer about a week ago. I had a similar experience with Luvs and Mass Rocks. I wouldn't say she was not ample but on a handful for most asians. I would agree she's around mid-30s and has a nice smile. Her massage skills are good 9/10 for relaxation. I would have liked it to be harder but that was my fault for not asking. I left happy and would return although it's far south for me.

The shower was elevated and was kinda weird to have a seating area in the shower, perhaps, there are other services for two, hint hint. Unlike John Spartan, I did figure out the three sea shells for the shower; movie reference?

Like I mentioned before, Yumi is young and I did see Crystal when I had my appointment with Jennifer couple days ago, Crystal is young and attractive, imop she is younger than Yumi.

The same shyt happened to me as well, I tried to book appointment with Jennifer last week, and I double checked with the person who handles the appointment, by the time when I showed up, someone told me to wait for another hour for Jennifer cuz she was still busy. I was furious so I walked out, and I decided to give them another try couple days ago. I finally met Jennifer, she is definitely over 40, fake boobies I don’t really like. Massage was better than Yumi and maybe Crystal as well, but my overall experience is just meh. 6/10 is the most I can rate, because nothing is exdraordinary plus their poor appointment management skills, which means the most to me. I think you can see their attitude and appreciation to the customers if they can properly manage the appointments, instead of making couple hundred bucks more in the cost of their reputation.

If you want me to choose my go to spas in the south side, here is definitely not on my list. Labella, Good Energy and Strathcona Spa are my places.

yes, you are right Crystal is older lady in 50's. She is in good shape. The best to see there is Jennifer and Crystal. Yumi is younger. Her service is average nothing exciting about her. All of them trying to up sell their service.

Found Yumi massage was fantastic. Real deep, definitely rmt skills. Found Jennifer to be younger, but Massage wasn’t as good ad Yumi but nonetheless good. She had 10 customers that day and was exhausted and still gave a deep massage better than most. Very nice ladies, one of my favs now.

remember when JJ opened on 99th? all the reviews were about JJ, trying to get the names and the services of the ladies to match up so we could know who to ask for or what to expect. it seemed like it was the only reasonable place to go and then it suddenly started to drop off the radar, less reviews, etc. inability to provide consistent service, name switching, frustrations with booking, all the same. seems like Rosewater is on a bad blueprint.

That’s the nature of these places. One or two all stars get the attention, the rest of the staff gets upset and infighting ensues. If it gets out of control people leave seeking a better environment. I doubt the business model includes people management. The driving force of both the workers and owners is money.
