you just read more into plague's post than I did, but in looking at it again there probably is some reason to question the post. if something is to be said it should be said straight and not through innuendo, which is always dangerous. without lying a person could want a reader to reach a particular conclusion which, in fact, is wrong.

is that the case here? plague's innunedo told me she was a hooker in say, Thailand or Phillippines. But then someone else says she was a doctor??????

The problem with foreign trained doctors is that the standards are not the same and the training is not the same. If they are going to practice in Canada, they have to be able to practice to the same standards and have the same knowledge. You would be surprised what the qualifications and training is in some countries. What happens when a problem arises and they are sued for malpractice ? Are you willing to be the patient that was misdiagnosed or had the wrong treatment ? All countries do not have the same access to advancements that we have, so their training, most of the time, it out of date. This gets in the way of getting the best care available. Are you willing to lower the quality of care further than where we are now where gauze is being left in people's belly and mistakes being made even with the locally trained doctors. Imagine if that is what is happening with our standards, what happens when we decrease them ?

Just a thought for you into this issue.
