I don't see any problem with that. As you said people voted in a billionaire. That's far more cleaner than the democRats using social media billionaires to influence the election and stifle free speech.

Bring the recount on. There will be a few changes but the percentage will be minuscule and the results upheld and the count will be confirmed. The count will also be overseen by Republicans (and Democrats) that will have to admit to the accuracy of the results and thereby confirm Biden.

Sure, the conspiracy theorists and nut jobs will still bitch and moan. But, the House can then also have the Judiciary Committee call a public hearing and put the Republicans overseeing the recount under oath to admit the results and that will debunk the conspiracy theorists and put the issue to bed as even Fox News will have to acknowledge the results at that point. The Republicans and even Fox will realize that the voting process is the cornerstone to a functioning democracy and if the results are upheld they’ll have to support it as a support of democracy where any attack on the results at that point is an attack on democracy. Fox’s Laura Ingram is already starting to turn away from some of Trump’s inner circle.

If the Trumps or the inner circle still complain after that they just hurt their image further of being nut jobs and run the risk of hating and attacking democracy.

Here are the facts. Half the country feels the election may not have been fair. There's a process for resolving that. It's being followed.

All of the Democrat voices decrying this should reflect for a moment. Essentially the same thing happened in 2016, only then, the Democrat candidate actually conceded the night of the election. The Democrats never accepted the result and spent more than two years and many millions of dollars on an investigation which they said would prove Trump had not fairly won, only to have their own champion tell them there was no proof of the alleged foreign interference.

Here's another hard fact--no matter what your political stripe, you should be very concerned that the media is so in the bag for one side. A credible media has to be seen as fair and balanced and we are a long way from that.

He acknowledged the election has yet to be certified, the right to a recount and that explored valid issues of voter fraud and raise valid concerns to the courts. That’s just lawyer speak out laying the rules and thereby effectively saying to Trump “if you can prove it, then prove it”. He didn’t deny or agree with Trump on voter fraud, he’s just sitting on the sidelines letting the process play out. So, if Trump ends up hanging himself, Mitch is making sure he has an out and doesn’t go down with him while at the same time not pissing off Trump or his base by telling him to concede.

Just to add to the points you make, the two run-off senate races in Georgia in January will determine which party controls the senate. It is hard to get people to vote in a run-off senate election. McConnell's weasel word choices while technically correct allow for doubt about the legitimacy of the presidential election which will motivate some aggrieved republican voters to turn out.
