The list of ventilators the reporter talks about in the video you posted, and in the link I provided, also have FDA emergency use approval. The FDA approvals for the vaccines and the ventilators are both emergency use approved. But that very specific ventilator model discussed in the link that you shared was not approved. And as per the laws around importing medical devices not approved meant they had to be either sent outside the country or scrapped which was the cheaper option.

If you still don’t understand maybe someone around her has connections with Sesame Street to see if Elmo can explain itto you on your level.

Those ventilators were not approved by the vary agency (FDA) that oversees the approval process of medical devices for safety. The FDA exists to protect the health and safety of Americans. Did it ever occur to you that these Chinese built ventilators (that by purchasing them are thereby taking away jobs from Americans that are building ventilators in the U.S.A.), were not approved because they just didn’t meet the safety standards to be used on American patients and doing so could put their health at risk? You would rather potentially put Americans health at risk by using these non-approved medical devices because somebody criticized Donald J Trump last year and you are still sore about it and want to get back at them?
