I'm not a businessman by profession...and have absolutely no idea about good business ethics. Like I said, my thinking...or rather intuition is based on life experiences. So, it's quite possible that I'm wrong here.

I would certainly like to have a good discussion here...if that is possible.

I am going to take a chance on getting banned but this was a good question. I have been in buisness for myself or worked as management for some large companies for over 35 years. Yess EVERY customer counts, every single one. One bad remark from a n unsatisfied customer costs you at least 10 more. I learned a long time ago, you take care of any customer with no prejudice. All are equal. If a customer has a problem you do whatever it takes to satisfy them, regardless of the cost. Do repeat get preferencial treatment absolutley, in many cases they deserve it.. but to take a dump on a new customer, I've never done it, or anyone I have worked for, or worked for me. Period end of story. That is how business should be done "old school style".

That's a good answer....I can understand it....based on the principle of "Customer is King". But here's the thing though....this "spa" business is not a conventional business....so do all those conventional principles still apply?

Business is business, regardless of the business. some of my best friends up north are bookies. They don't shit on their good customers, unless you don't pay them.. LMAO

Clarification note: if this were a traditional sign off the street, walk on up and get whoever is available right that second........ then I would say "No. I would not expect said manager to call me before hand". Even if it was like NSI when Yumi/Diamond was there & you would call and ask if she was working and without question Mamasan would say yes even if she was a week gone...... you ALMOST expect such behavior from those particular type of places.....

But if a call was made an hr or 2 before hand asking SPECIFICALLY for girl X and you show up only to be told "she is not here". Or "she is busy" that is the same as a B&S to me, and is VERY bad business.... that is where the manager is MORE at fault than the provider for two reasons 1.) His lack of control on a repeat offender without showing her the door 2.) His blatent disregard for the client and his satisfaction...... the 2nd is the MUCH more damning offense in my opinion as a businessman..... it equates to posting a sign on the front door that says "Fuck you! We don't care what you think, or if you enjoy yourself. Drop your money & GTFO!"

i think star is pretty good. if you finished sooner than you wanted to and got cut short, just means she is not msog but that is typical of sunflowers. So pace yourself next time when you are there. if you want msog and full time, then there are other better places for that. I personally dont think anything star did in this case is wrong or neccesarily so bad as to warrant a no. some of us like the short duration

I agree. If you piss a customer off just once and you don't see him again no telling how many more you won't see because of it. That's in any business.

Thanks JaD for the clarification. I knew I could expect one of your very famous "Yes & No" answers.

And yes...the time between the 'first-call' and the 'booking-call' is important, which is why I stressed that in my comments. If my understanding of the OP is correct, I believe this time is more like 24 hrs...and not a couple of hours.

Anyway, based on all the above sentiments about "good business ethics", I guess we might have to conclude that the Management (let's call M from now on) probably doesn't care about getting new clients...and is happy with the old/repeat clientele.

I have one more (finer) point I would like to put across...to touch on the "unconventional" aspect. [BTW, if anybody is wondering...this is purely an educational mission...and is not an attempt to defend the M. In fact, the M has no idea who Sarunga is.]

OK, let's say that the M should contact the new client BEFOREHAND when a specific girl ceases to be available under the premise described above. This would mean that the M will have to either send a text message or call the client. Now, would a new client...or for that matter, even a repeat/established client really want this? I mean...for a massage palor to contact him out of the blue. I have seen so many threads where hobbyists have been complaining about un-wanted messaged from providers, mamasans, etc. This would be especially critical for hobbyists with families or SOs, because the message could easily fall into the wrong hands. In fact, I would argue that it's actually "unprofessional" for the M to contact a client out of the blue.

So, based on this "unconventional" aspect of this business, is it fair for us to expect the M to inform us BEFOREHAND? A possible Catch-22?

It is not out of the blue if the appointment has been made..... and from the sounds of everything it doesn't seem as though it is mutually exclusive to "first timers" only either.... Therein lies the problem...... and again, if he was giving a "fuck you" to the new guys.... what happens when the "old guys" dry up? (no pun intended you old farts!)

There is ZERO defending this behavior and these actions Sarunga. That is the plain and simple fact of it..... IF this is going on (and by multiple accounts it is) Then it is just shitty-kitty! The IF was the question for the longest time..... and I am now inclined to believe whole heartetly in that truth..... I now KNOW that if I book with Lisa, the chances that she will be there are dramatically less than any other agency girl....... At what point do the BCD skills makeup for the BS NCNS and the B&S? I don't know, but it is REALLY close IMHO......

That's what I'm sayin. I was a well established customer there and still got the B&S. Just poor business practices. So the result is not only do I not go back but I along with so many others I encourage others to stay away.

It is an absolute fkn joke to think that any spa mgr/owner is happy with just there regular clientel. This is a very risky business and the owners are out to make as much money as possible in the shortest period of time possible. I know alot of people in this business and have had to help girls find other spas to work at or book plane tickets back home after being here for less then a day because they were let go for "shitty" service, or because they wouldnt take a customer. It is not cheap to fly back to L.A. when you are buying the ticket that day.

Having said that, Lisa is able to get away with that from mgmt because she has them by the balls, since she works/lives in Houston, and has a large regular clientel. She does make them alot of money when she wants to. If they dont like her work ethic and let her go, then she will drive the street and work at another spa. Her regular clientel will follow. She will change her work ethic for a bit, bring in a bunch of coin for mgmt, add to her regular clientel, and then start calling her own shots again when she feels comfy. A spa owner will rarely give up a moneymaker to another spa owner down the street, even if the provider is a bit flakey and hard to deal with at times.

It is bs and I will not support her behavior or that spa, but that is my choice. I dont want to be a dk, but nobody on this sight pays my bills...so if you want to blow your $160 there and play games, then enjoy! Many have said it...you all who support her allow her to continue this behavior. And again...if it is fun for you and she never ncns, then party on...just dont come crying on here when she does ncns one day, because it WILL happen.

Last bit...guys be serious. If you order a steak and the waiter brings you a burger, which you decide to eat and pay steak price for, then quit complaining after the meal. Hold your tip until you get what you want if possible. If not, then at least hold your tip until you negotiate with the specific girl you are there to see. If they switch girls midstream, then get up, get dressed and try and get your door fee back. These places do not want trouble and you will get your money or portion of the door fee back most of the time.

You should contribute more, bigboyspike, to our lively discussions. You seem to have a lot of knowledge about the spa scene. I especially like what you have said in the last para. Very sound advice.
