My last trip to Shanghai Myself and 3 of my friends ended up at a Sauna at the Golden Bell Shopping Centre. Real nice and more expensive than some of the prices mentioned here. 90 minutes was 900 RMB, but I thought who gives a shit. Nice changing areas, 3 hot spring pools and 1 jacuzzi pool to relax a bit, saunas and steam room. The guys there kind of push you to move on but I didnt rush as we all came off a long flight. When you are ready the dress you up in these chinese robes and you move to the lounge for beer, free smokes, big screen tv, nice lounge chairs. Once again nice but now they have a cutie who tries to push you to the massage seforum.xxxe. Once again be firm with her and tell her you arent ready. When you are just lift the phone next you your chair and they will lead you to some really nice massage rooms. 4 of all had differnt experinces in terms of quality and performance and I think I lucked out the best with No 36. I would recommend this :
1) never go with any lady to a place you've never been before;
2) go only to cheap and crowded places such as KFC or Mac Do;
3) hookers work 2 by 2. Never accept a joiner.

As a conclusion I would say that if you'r lucky and very cautious you can find a nice street walker.
But after all, with the 1200 RMB I spent, I could have gone twice to Yu Ping. This is probably the best choice available in Shanghai.

Good way to start is to buy a guidebook on Shanghai: i recommend those Insight City guides on Shanghai. Next, do you speak Mandarin? If you don't that's not a problem because most people working in Shanghai's financial district speaks basic English. the mamasans or papasans working at the massage/sauna places speaks basic English and if they know you're a foreigner they will most likely charge you more...sorry to say that because you're a foreigner and you're "rich"...hehhehe


Well..Yu Ping is a good place but it's not the only place in Shanghai, there are shitloads of great massage/suana parlors all over Shanghai and China, they're everywhere, the good ones are in major skyscrapers, hotels buildings, etc. Yu pIng is not the only place to get a good laid.

Hotel recommendation: Just to let you know the hotels in Shanghai especially cost more than anywhere else in China, but slightly lower almost cheaper than Hong Kong but it's still expensive but cheaper than Hong KOng. You should stay at one of the many hotels on the famous "Nanjing road" It's the american version of Rodeo Drive...tooo expensive for ya. There are good hotels in Pudong too. REad the Insights Cityguide for Shanghai, it'll tell you the best hotels and the budget hotels..that's a good place to start for newbies..


But it's good to speak Mandarin at least the basics because it can get you much farther with the girls if you like to spend the overnight thing with them which is the reason why you're there right? Goddamn it's so much fun having one or 2 girls spending overnight at your hotel and having them leave in the morning. going to Yu Ping it's one thing but overnight at your hotel it's the fuckin bomb baby!

I mean the massage sex thing it's great and all but the overnight is what most guys go for. If you don't speak Mandarin you might overpaid for overnight as these girls tend to charge you more knowing you're a foreigner and don't speak mandarin...you got "money" written all over your forehead.

Went to Yu Ping last night. It is definitely the bomb! It is very easy to find as it is attached to the right side of the hotel and inside there's a big sign that says sauna

Everything goes pretty much the way everyone else described, with a few changes.

When I went from the lounge area to get a girl for the massage there was a room with all the girls in it. I stood on the outside looking through a glass window. There were 20 girls there ranging from 18-22 years old. They were all 7-8's in my picky opinion. All skinny, most short, flat tummies, boobs ranged from small to full.

I chose number 802 and 822 since it was my first time I figured, why the hell not!!

We had a great time, more than one hour, and I pretty got to do anything I wanted.

When I went back to the lounge area to relax they also have professional foot massage girls. These girls are definitely 8-10!! No sex allowed, but you can go in a privatelounge area with just the girl and she will give you a full lower body massage and get you off HJ.

I talked with one of the managers for a while, really nice guy, limited English, but we had no problem communicating.

They even brought me Chinese food to eat while I was relaxing, no charge.

The pricing went as follows: One girl for FS massage 600RMB, two girls 1050RMB, 45 foot massage 50RMB, or 90 foot massage with HJ in private room 326RMB.

Given the lack of othr choices for Shanghai this is an excellent way to relax. I was there for more than 4 hours and highly recommend it to anyone!!

Michi S is right stay away from the Nanjing Road girls. I have seen this scam too many times.

You could go to some bars like Zapatas if you like freelancers. The freelance seen in my opinion has slowed down tremendously. I used to see heaps of them near the entrance of Zapatas and just walking up and down Heng Shang Road but now they are no where to be seen.

The Bund Hotel does have a health club with massage, etc known as the Helen Huang Spa, but I've never been there. It may be straight though, no hanky panky. But you WILL get calls at night, if you are travelling alone, though if you cannot speak Chinese it is a handicap.
Speaking of places nearby, do remember if you are walking on Nanjing Road (which is very near the Bund Hotel) NEVER EVER allow yourself to be sweet talked by Chinese girls (usually they will approach you in a pair) who will then suggest a couple of drinks or even coffee. It is a total scam and you will be poorer by a few thousand RMBs. If approached just ignore.
About 10 minutes taxi ride from the Bund Hotel is a bar alley known as Mao Ming Lu, lotsa bars with chicks who speak a smattering of English. You can deal with them directly. If you are lucky you can even do something in the bar itself... Try Bar One on Mao Ming Lu or The Clou Bar on Chang Le Lu. Both are 10 min taxi rides away from the Bund.

Had another few days in shanghai a week or two ago.... ANother visit to Yu Ping... Still loads of fun.... Glad to see the girls using wipes to clean various bits n pieces everytime they lick/touch something..

RE Charlie's angels... Called up on the second night I was there and asked for May (I had asked for her a few months back and got a cracking girl in her place whose name I forget - its posted here somewhere - that I was hoping would show up again).

About any hotel bar is a shure bet (but pricey). And allways nice girls at bourbon street in Heng shan Road for about 1k LT.

The best way would be to take the taxi, it's cheaper and much less time consuming, if you don't mind the pushing and shoving on trains go ahead and take it but be careful of pick pockets and it's very crowded and people will be pushing and shoving you around. Take the taxi, do you speak Mandarin? If you don't then you're out of luck unless you have someone write down the "yu Ping" name in Chinese on a piece a paper that way you can show it to the driver and he'll take you there otherwise hire an independent escort to show you around. Most people who work in the financial business districts in Shanghai speak basic English but the taxi driver might not understand what "yu ping" is if spoken in english. the best to do is have that place written down on a piece of paper and take a hotel card with you for the taxi on your way back.
