I've been debating trying out Shangri-La for a while now but the distance kind of puts me off as its way too far in comparison to the regular places I visit. But since Krayjee has never recommended a place thats less than spectacular, notable mentions (E&M, Zoey, A-Eden) I was willing to give it a try. Had an appointment in Markham so went there right after. Called and booked Cindy who was available at short notice which I found strange but I guess its slow time of the year for MPAs and also because shes the only girl there that caught my fancy (ref to the look-a-like pictures and reviews in the main thread)

About the facility - spacious clean room, shared bath which I didnt find as a problem because the girls communicate when it comes to occupancy and not-so-bad-for-asian-mpa decor. I wouldn't compare to the likes of Premier (even studio 9) but I've been in worse.

Cindy - she is very close to the picture that's posted. Really pretty and cute face. I complimented her so many times for that. Mixed ancestry which makes for some really interesting facial features which I loved. So far, so good. I booked for an hour naturally, was expecting a not-so-bad massage and the famous tease. Now, I know that this place cannot be compared to RMTs, but I didn't find her any better than holistic MPAs. I was irritated in under 10 minutes because I am used to better quality massages from E&M and the likes. Then again, since the main intention was the pleasure part, I hinted about it a couple of times. She either shrugged it off or said wait till the massage is done. Now, I am not a pushy person and like to really not spoil the mood by arguing, so I kept mum. Now, 40 minutes in, she asks me to flip and offers the menu. She said, she can do a BS and said it will be $80. Now, this is the part that irked me. She asked me how much I want to pay. I know the standard rate, seen it posted by others, but just to test her, I said, $60. She quickly corrects me and says, $100 - $80 is what is standard and I am wondering, why bother asking if you want a specific amount unless of course you were expecting more.

Now, the BS was nothing better than what a usual $80/hh asian sp would do. Just rubbed her chest up and down my junior and started jack hammering. I looked up and see that there's still 10 minutes left. So, I tell her, why hurry, let's take it slow. She slows down for 2 seconds and then goes for it again. I told her twice the same thing, and then she suggested she would give me a head massage once I am finished. At that point, I didn't really care, so I just let her take me through the release.

I am disappointed to say the least, that was a $140 which I could've spent on a Premier session or with an SP for hh session. Now, I am not the person to keep the negativity and I always like to see the silver lining. So, the good side was, she was amazing to talk to, really tried to carry the conversation, the compliments and cute giggles. Even asked me to take her on a date. We had a good conversation, covered a lot of different topics, laughed at similarities, even complimented her personality and appearance. That was my take home from the session. Will I repeat? No! This is just a glorified asian mpa that charges more for less unfortunately.

I have nothing against you KJ. This is the first time your recommendation didn't work out. All the other ones were extra ordinary and another level of service and experience. Keep contributing to the forum and helping newbies like me.

KJ has contributed more to the forum than most of the people here. If one of his recommendations didn't meet my expectations, I am not gonna flame about it. Well it all depends on how you look at it and what you are looking for. The first thing is 40 minutes vs 60 minutes. The reason I mention sky high price is just to point out to qinshit price is not the only thing which makes a spa successful.

When I hobby, I never care about the price. I go by the girl. If I like the girl I will go no matter what the hourly rate is so long as the place is nice and clean. If you have to worry about the price, this hobby is expansive and may need to look for a different hobby. A good value is not the amount of money you pay, it's how much you enjoy spending that money. That's the best value in my dictionary.

All our regulars at Shangri La know what they can get at Premier spas but they have different kind of tastes and likes, that's why they keep coming back for Cindy, Renee and Vivian for a reason. Some come back for Lisa, Lucy and Kelly. So there is no way we can judge what is the best value for every individual. The best value is what they enjoy most with what they spent.

I dont want to get into an endless discussion but no matter how rich someone is everyone cares about price and getting good value for their dollar. Lets start 40min vs 60 min how long do your girls spend on an average massage at best compared to E&M. I would say 30-40min. I went to pure last week and spent the whole 40min having fun with zero massage.

You mentioned your spa is somewhere in between holistic and semi legit but your prices are closer to holistic. In my mind there are only those two types nothing in between. If i want a great massage and HE i go to spas like E&M and spend $90-100. If i want to have fun with a hot lady than i go to a spa like pure and spend $150-200.
