SRM: poor customer service

You arrived early for your appointment - you should be prepared to wait. By all accounts, you got your shorts into a knot for no reason.

Seems there's a bit of confusion over the appointment time - 3:00 or 3:15 p.m.?
However, if Joy confirmed with you 3:15 - and you couldn't stay, you should have mentioned that from the get go.

I was at SRM to see Tara not too long ago. I came early (about 25 minutes early), and Dr. Joy invited me to sit down, have some food & drink, and watch some TV.

I relaxed, chatted a bit, enjoyed the scenery & the women, then when it was closer to my time, Joy lead me to the mirror room.

I took my time, then had a great session with Tara. Unrushed, & HOT!

Like a fine cognac. Not a quickie shooter.


SRM's customer service is SECOND TO NONE!

Well cyrus, you may think it's stupid, but I know for a FACT that kind of stuff happens..

Why ??

At one point somebody PM'd an MP owner regarding an MPA who's a friend of mine... The massageplanet.netite claimed that she'd cut his time, blah, blah , blah...

Too bad she WASN'T working on the night in question although her name had appeared online...

The MP owner had one of two choices.

1.) offer to waive the massageplanet.netite's door fee with a smile, knowing it was bullshit

2.) risk public comments RE: "poor customer service"

Guess what the owner did ?

Why don't YOU get your facts straight ... or is THAT stupid too ?

I don't like waiting either, but I usually find that when you book with a popular MP or visit a popular MPA you wait longer. It's just part of the business and I don't see it as a problem. If you don't like waiting, go to your local unpopular MP that has girls waiting for customers. The service may not be as good or the girls may not be as beautiful, but you won't have to wait. It's all a matter of what is important to you.

But what if you are the guy in the room that has trouble finishing a session on time. Should they kick you out when you're time is up? The good MPAs always care about customer satisfaction and they will make sure that each customer leaves happy. SRM has always been generous about going overtime and I always remember this when I have to wait.

Lastly, you'll stress the girls out when you start complaining about waiting too long. The end result being you receiving a low mileage session.

If you don't return to SRM, it's not a big deal. There are plenty of other great MPs around and SRM has enough loyal customers to keep them in business for a long time. BUT if you don't get to know Joy, it's a big loss on your part. She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She deals with crap from customers, MPAs and LE all day long and still manages to keep a smile on her face, not to mention the peck on the cheek for most of us and some DFK for Ref.

There seems to be only one discrepancy in the two versions of this event. The appointment time. If his appointment was for 3:00 then he was right. If it was for 3:15 he was wrong. But I'm reminded of a saying, Sometimes you can be right and wrong at the same time.

I say refund his money and reserve the right to refuse service to him in the future. In either case he needs to learn his manners.

The importance you place on these "chronometers" that you developed... really - to us lower forms of life, it looks like you worship them like gods. You say things were late by 15 - 20 minutes, she says 3 minutes (I'm more inclined to believe her version, I'll admit... but that's because I know Joy, and I know that there is no way she'd let me sit alone 20 minutes after an appointment, but...). Either way, that is less time than you would spend watching trailers at a movie theatre.... I'm not saying that you wouldn't have a right to be upset... I guess I just don't completely understand why you'd let it get to you. It isn't open heart surgury... it isn't a meeting at the bank... it's supposed to be FUN. And, just like the amusement parks - all the best rides have the longest queues.

(As an aside, if you really want to feel "pissed" - miss out on a "four-leaf-clover-rare" Amber appointment because a few drops of rain f#cked traffic, leaving you five minutes late getting to the spa. Then you'll understand "pissed", and the overwhelming urge to shove those clocks and watches up someones' "out-door"....)

As for Joy and customer service, though... what do you expect she could do? Go into the other room and GET Giselle for you? I know she does her best to try and remind the attendants about schedules (heck, I have even collected enough "reminders" to actually use them in barricading the door on a few sessions with a certain girl that I figured should never, ever, ever end...). Still, the attendant is the one who ultimately controls her time - so if you HAD to be mad at anyone, it should have been Giselle.

You said yourself that she apologised to the extent that Giselle was late, and gave you your money back without a hassle. And that sounds EXACLY like what I would expect from a spa owner in terms of excellent customer service.

Though I'm far from a "frequent" visitor, I've never seen Joy give anything less that at SRM (I'm not sure she even knows how to). And while I'm sorry that your experiences didn't live up to your expectations there, you won't ever convince me that Joy doesn't care about her customers - 'cause she's gone out of her way and done more for this wretched little rabbit than all of the other spa owners combined (including the other very good ones...).

I also hate to wait, on the other side I appreciate a gal that goes overtime with me when needed. I'd rather have to wait for slow last guy than have time pressure.

I usually bring my own paper or reading with me for wait downtime. I even read when stopped in a traffic jam on the 401!

The real question should be how long did you actually have to wait in the room.

It is generally accepted that once showed to the room that you have to wait 5-10 minutes before the attendant comes in. 15 minutes starts to push it and after 20 minutes (in the room) then you got a good case to leave. Sounds to me like you were in the room for only 10 minutes before you started getting dressed to leave and 13 minutes later (in room at 3:05 out the door at 3:18) you were gone. If that's the case, then I think you're over-reacting.

Now, I've waited 20-30 minutes in the lounge of several spas in the past before even going into the room. It happens but you've got a TV or magazines to keep you occupied so it's not a big deal. I've never held that against the spa as I usually show up early and it sometimes happens that they run 5-10 minutes late because a customer showed up late or the session goes a little over time.

Seems to me our friend has it in for SRM and takes every opportunity to complain. I have never had an issue, coffee with Anita and Joy in the backroom, cuddles from Joy in the lobby and no clock watching!! Ah, I must make a trip this week!!

I might have something to add to this post. I called SRM yesterday asking about Giselle at about noon, asked about her availabiltiy for 2-4pm. Joy said to me, and I quote, "she'll be available at 3:30 pm if you're interested." I guess that means she already had a 3pm appt.

Well, he said this was the second time that happened to him & I believe him
Why? (1) He is the customer (2) I will give him the benefit of doubt and so should you if you are in fact a customer like him, unless you actually intent to call the guy a liar!
Now the owner may
(a) argue with the guy and escalates the situation over something so inconsequential or (b) just apologize for his trouble and seek the goodwill of the readers of the thread by her good PR action regardless of who was actually at fault! Which case do you think will help the establishment?!
As I have said, in my opinion this is an inconsequential, minor error vs. being ripped off . . . etc., and not worth arguing over it, so please let the guy chill out!
However what upsets me the most is seeing people trying to make the guy look like a liar and massageplanet.net's who dare to complain freebie seekers when in fact you are one of the one's who has just confessed that is a friend of "a" if not "the" MPA!

I have only been to SRM once, because its location is inconvenient for me so I am not a booster or detractor.

Last year I posted on massageplanet.net complaining about SRM customer service in getting what I felt was 'the run around' in booking Sophie.

Joy whom I have never met or talked to, immediately PM'd me explaining what had happened in a very fair and rational manner. There was no offer of 'freebies' but I felt that the prompt explanation from Joy was all I could have asked for. Based on my experience, Joy provides professional and excellent customer service and I will try to get back to SRM next week when I am in TO.

I have had many, many appointments at MPs. With the more popular ladies I go in with the expectation that I will see my MPA 10-15 min. after my app't time, which is OK as long as I get about the time I booked for in the end.

One time at SRM I waited so long in the room I feel asleep, I really don't know how long I was there probably over 1/2 hour...... the girl said she could hear me snoring from out in the hall..... lol..... so don't get upset take a nap... I almost always wake up horny and it was convienient that day for sure.....

Bottom Line: SRM customer service is the best you can ask for...Where else can you go find beaituful ladies with amazing attitudes...From the shower being turned on for you, to a kiss on the cheek, to the chillled bottled water...
