probably the worst music and atmosphere of any of the Patong Clubs...but its a reliable last gasp spot for desperados on their way home who are staying in Soi san sabai

Hollywood disco has taken a lot of clientele away from Taipan and Tiger Discos

It was so bad at Tiger Disco last month that they laid on free buffet food outside the entrance as well as free entrance.............. i soon found out the reason, the clientele and music had a significantly middle eastern and indian feel to it

This month I'm not sure how it looks for both Tiger and Taipan but i think these things swing in roundabouts, the previous version of Hollywood Disco - Dragon Disco was really good but then kinda died off a bit for some reason

I've always seen Taipan as a bit of a last gasp desperate place with very in general average looking girls, older farangs and pathetic music

Dragon was great for a few years.. Mostly the yeas when the bars closed promptly at 2, and Dragon through it Pian connection had a 5ish closure.. After that Safari with it other prominent backer, took over for the last shift.. They kind of shared it..

Then the bar closures started slipping, and Dragons working hours slipped.. The bars held people longer and without a crowd the place died fast.

Shame as that was my fave hangout back then.

Tai Pan allways been my fav good mix of ages and allways busy 2pm onwards.Tiger and the like too dark and full of kids mostly wearing aussie uniform....

Went to Hollywood and Tiger a few times in november, both places packed. Liked Hollywood more because of the music, too much trance-techno-house in Tiger.
Chick-wise the two are a tie imho

Are there any places with decent music anymore? At least not the techno/trance/rap stuff? I've noticed more and more if this in recent years and really don't care for it at all...

Checked the place out a couple of nights ago and no trance, reasonable music and a few good lookers too. Surprised as it's not exactly my fav place.

Hollywood was rocking and packed, now thats the place for me, many sweet damsels, raunchy wenches and full on fat lasses. Like Rochdale on a Tuesday night. Sorted (as the man says).................

Hollywood - Busy - Loud - Popular with the Yung'uns (foreigners and TGs)

Tiger - No Cover Charge last night - I'd like it if it wasn't so packed. Good music

Tai Pan - Music is Better this past week

Also noticed a few more clubs passing out Free Admission and even Free Drink passes on Bangla
Seductions - Free passes every night for those that fit their S'pek
Tiger - Free Admission passes handed out (but no cover charge last night anyway)
Baya - Free Drink (for tourist only) cards handed out on Bangla

Still like Taipan, as "feels" right.......Hollywood for me was gross, too crowded, too much use of strobe lights and music too loud. Must be getting old!!

Taipan still the "last chance saloon" for BGs and punters alike, and some tasty totty!!
