Again I appreciate your honesty about what a Trump fan you were before everything fell apart, and how amazing you thought Trump would be for Canada. Very happy you've now finally seen the light.

Next step: Stop trying to pretend that Trump was awesome until a year ago and explain away your previous enthusiasm by claiming it's only a very recent mental decline due to aging. Educate yourself - this is who he always was.

Pennsylvania received more ballots back then they mailed out. In Detroit, more people voted than there were voters registered. In Atlanta, they claimed there was a water leak that forced counting to stop, but they never called a plumber and continued to count after they sent home Republican poll watchers.

Dominion turned down signature verification to 40% threshold so that every signature would match. They connected their machines to the internet when they claimed those machines couldn't be connected.

The Left wants us to believe that Joe Biden didn't have to campaign and was still more popular than Obama, Hillary or Trump. That Biden received 20% more votes than Obama did, and didn't even go outside to do it. And that Biden was losing when voting was monitored, but miraculously pulled ahead when voting wasn't monitored.

It's been well documented that the "good people" comment after Charlottesville was specifically not aimed at White Supremacists and their ilk, but it probably always will be cited by Trump haters as proof of his own inclinations toward white supremacy. In this more recent case, I don't know if the fool was stupid enough to say that those how stormed the Capitol were "special people" or if he intended to praise only the protestors who were there to support his cause--after all the latter group did greatly outnumber the former. Understand, I'm not accusing you of making a bad faith argument, but in this era of wholly partisan "news" reporting, it's almost impossible for even well meaning commentary to be based on good information. Everyone I've spoken to about this incident say they believe Trump wanted the government violently taken over and that he orchestrated the attempt. So far no one's furnished proof of that...but that's where we are as a society.

What did he say about the offending members of the mob while it was happening ?

I'm talking about the day that it actually happened when people's lives were in danger, not the hostage video Trump taped following day well after the fact when he became fully aware of the general outrage and his potential legal liability.

I don't know how much time passed between the hijinks at the Capitol and his statement that they should go home peacefully. I thought it was the same day, January 6.

The only reason I can think why you'd ask such a question is to support the contention that Trump hoped a violent intervention by his supporters would somehow retain the Presidency for him. Let me say again, I think the man is an idiot and that American politics would be well rid of him, but I don't see evidence to support that he is dumb enough to think that an Arkansas viking was going to wrest control of the government by force and hand it to him. It's much more likely that he wanted his cockamamie Pence scheme to frustrate the electoral vote certification.
