My brains fly out of my head in the heat of the moment so I have a lot of sympathy in this case. She gambled and upsold the OP thinking he had the cash, and he did not. And because of that the whole experience was ruined for him. I am usually on the side of the MPA but in this case the OP was hustled. He makes the very valid point that he gave her what would have been enough money in the past. She did not make him aware of the price changes before the action.

There are limits as to what can be shared publicly, and that is why PMs are where the real information is, but you should not come empty handed if you want the good stuff.

This is exactly what I was going to say, and I'll apply the same logic to the drink analogy:

If the bartender tells you the drinks are free then sticks you with the bill, that's shady, but that's not what happened to you.

If the bartender brings you drinks you didn't order and doesn't say anything, you should say I didn't order this, then the bartender would either take them away or not charge you for them, but that's not what you did.

If the bartender brings you drinks you didn't order and you don't say anything, then drink the drinks, then try to get out of paying afterward because you didn't order them and don't have the money, that's shady, and that's what happened here.

EDIT: I saw your follow up post where the MPA increased her price but you only had enough to cover her old price. That changes things. I don't necessarily think she tried to take advantage of you, but she can't get too upset if she increased her rates without telling you and then expected you to pay up after the fact.

Notice how more details are added with every post in this thread (rebuttals for those telling him he was wrong) in comparison to original opening one. Then the no mention of what spa and name. There's no way she continues without his consent for round 2 without telling me him price upfront.
