What should I do? I'm 32 weeks pregnant in the Marines and I have a GySgt...

...that wont honor my medical chit? I'm a Sgt in the Marine Corps and I am 32 weeks pregnant. Due to my history of losses in the past I am considered very high risk. I work in a building that doesn't have air conditioning in NC and my command has me working at least 8-10 hours a day. My Obgyn wrote me a medical note stating that I'm not to work more than 6 hours a day including chow but my GySgt says that chow doesn't count and makes me work past my hour restrictions. He literally screamed at me until I had a panic attack when I brought the medical note in with the hour restrictions calling me a malingerer and saying a lot of hateful things. What can I do? I'm afraid to fight him because I still have to face him everyday and I cant handle him screaming at me but on the other hand I'm worried that The heat and stress could hurt my baby! Thanks for the help

You have eight more weeks to go. Do everything you can to keep your body cool, keep yourself calm, and take it easy. The most important thing is not winning a fight with this sergeant, it is taking care of yourself and your baby. If you want to fight him, do it when your baby is born, safe and healthy.

sounds like this guy doesn't really care about anythng as long as he can make it known to others how much rank he has... he doesn't want anyone, especially you or your dr telling him what to do...
basically though, your doctor has told you 6 hours a day.. that means from the time you clock on to the time you clock off.. he wants you at home, comfortable and resting for the rest of the day.. not in your uniform, taking orders and doing light duties at work..
if i were you, i would finish after 6 hours.. he can't do anything but yell at you.. even if this is a marine job where they are meant to be scary and pull you inline, it doesn't matter.. you need to get out.. if something happened to your baby because of this, you wouldn't forgive yourself... and if you did go home and they tried to take action, it wouldn't go very far esp with your doctors help
