The full title should read "Who the hell is paying these prices for terrible service and shitty, entitled attitudes?".
Yes, I had read the warnings about the Steeles chain, but decided that I'd at least get a massage and HJ from an attractive attendant. I was pressed for time and their locations are fairly close to me.
Nope, nyet, nada. Lucy started with a decent massage (WAYYY to much oil, I'm not a french fry) but only my back and shoulders. No leg or butt and no tease. Took off her top and proceeded to rub herself all over my back (adding more oil of course). It was nice but was getting tedious. I suggested that I massage her for a while and she said that would be $500.
From this point, once she saw I wasn't taking the bait, she became quite disconnected and mechanical. Long story short, she wasn't even trying on the flip. She started lowering (arguing, really) about the price but it was beyond redemption. The session was lost. I hopped off the table and into the shower with lots of time left. She was upset and still trying to justify her pricing while I was getting dressed. Yes, your body, your rules but please stop with the entitled attitude. I would have stopped to complain to the Front Desk on the way out but there were two other clients complaining to the receptionist already.
So, back to the question in the title of the post. Including the room fee, it would have cost the equivalent of two hours with an SP in a decent hotel room. Are they that out of touch? Who
IS paying these outrageous prices? Somebody must be or the attendants wouldn't be asking. To be clear, she continued to offer me FS at lower and lower rates so, I didn't get the sense that it was the "ewww, please don't touch me" rate.
It can't be a sustainable business model. Twelve months ago there was pent up demand and little supply. That's not the case now AND people don't have the same level of disposable income they once had.
