Question Why do we allow spa ads in the massage review forum?

It seems like a lot of the forum is taken up by ads now. Shouldn't we keep this forum strictly for reviews? It's called toronto massage review, after all.

… ghost town here w/o these spa threads… check out other parts of Cda reviews…. Or the shit show on terb… @ least here, tiny spas like Tracy @ MidTown spa can post…
So… I read scheds of spas I visit… & many mini reviews in there… if I have gr8 time w girl I saw allot, ok, I’ll do a thread… but if I just saw her once, dropping a post in spa thread makes more sense 2me…

Some dude says 2me, check out Coco @ misc spa… I go 2 spa ad & use search of thread, find her description & any notes hobbyists made…

Then I’ll search whole msgplanet … but usually don’t find much…

If we can't have a separate sub-section for threads that are basically advertising for all the various spas, like they do on TERB, then at minimum it would be helpful if all the threads that are essentially spa ads were accurately labeled as such.

@admin did a great job labeling all the various threads that were spa ads when someone first suggested it some time ago, but has seemingly dropped the ball since, because it now appears only some threads have the yellow "Spa Ad" designation, whereas others that are obviously exactly the same do not, which in some ways gives them an unfair advantage over the threads that have long been explicitly designated as spa ads!

Hard to imagine correctly labeling these threads would take more than 15 minutes... it would seriously help members at least differentiate between threads created by spa ownership and posts that are (hopefully!) reviews and feedback by actual spa patrons.

For starters, every thread title with an address and / or a phone number, or posting a daily schedule, etc. should obviously have the "Spa Ad" designation.

If there are not going to be separate sections for spa ads and actual reviews, then at least let forum users easily know which threads are spa ads.

Members who are promoters should have a sign/label showing that they are a promoter. There should be rules to "limit" the (wrong practices) activities of those promoters that use multiple handles, jeopardize discussions among members, harassing/bullying members to keep them from exposing short coming of some spas/MPAs ,post misleading information. We need to have a healthy playground here for hobbyist to exchange ideas freely. I don't mind promoters to be part of the group as long as they don't misuse the facilities here for selfish reasons.

Once you start a forum and pay for it all, let us know so we can all have a "safe space".

What’s admin worried about ?

Ad revenue may disappear again if govt shuts down spas due2 omicron …

… whether a thread = correctly labelled or not… not such a big deal …

The same way that we don't go to MPs that don't suit our needs or tastes, if people aren't happy about Massage Planet, they're free to go try one of the other forums.

Anyway they keep the site running and free of charge. The ads are for those who visit spas so they have choice as to were to go; namely us

Easier said than done. It is not difficult to use different up addresses and devices to pretend to be a different person.

Here's what I meant.
If the OP doesn't like how things are run on Massage Planet, he's free to go go elsewhere.
It's as simple as that.

It may not be it perfect here, but it's not so bad that I have to drop it and go elsewhere.
If you'd like me to leave, just say so. You'll likely be disappointed, but at least we'll be clear on where you stand.

Yes I totally agree clearly this is not something admin is worried about at all... if he was he wouldn't need reminders.

And perhaps it doesn't matter at all, but if so then the current thread labels don't matter either.

Maybe better to scrap it altogether rather than apply it in a haphazard way.
