Think of it this way. Total cost $200. House gets $50 to $60. Typical FS amp $100/hr to the girl. That means she's getting a 40% tip ($40) already included in the $200 price.

If you give an additional $70, she's getting $210 -$220 and the house gets $50 -60.

At a total cost of $270 you just paid for an outcall in NYC and no tip would have been required. You overpaid dude no question about it unless she's a high end Spitzer/ Wiener/ Tiger Woods girl.

His email was just to advise on the tipping protocols. The fact that he included the service fee was to inform the members that in was not an all inclusive rate. Now you just added a new job to his side of it which is hiring a legal assistant to go over any of his communications.
Let's bury this line of commentary and realize this is a discretionary spending hobby, if you don't have it, don't do it. The behind the scenes operation is none of our business. If you feel that they are not getting enough tip more. Let's be honest it's an illegal operation that does not fall under the Dept. of Labor's Jurisdiction. So take your feelings out of the equation. I just reread his email and what you are saying is simply not true. You are twisting his words to fit your argument. Nowhere in his email does it even broach the subject of what he does with the house fee.

Again, if you are concerned about what he does with the house fee then ask him about it. If you don't like his answer then stop going. But at least have the common decency to stop making up lies. Not everyone on this board can go reread the email to see that you are making things up.

I agree 1000% with you but I'm starting to have the feeling that I'm speaking Xhosa and no one is getting it. I will say that in almost every AMP, tipping is ALWAYS additional and is expected. But does this mean that every AMP girl only earns what she get from tips?

Now what if I tell you that out of the 160, the girl who just massaged you and now had sticky white stuff all over her hands gets only 60 and nothing else. Is this a fair payout for the girl by the owner? Most of us mongers could care less how the 160 is split; we get what came for, we pay and tip fairly, we leave. Everyone is happy, or is it?

I'm only speculating that this is what occurs at Eden. From the email, it does seem that that is how Eden operates -- great place for mongers, bad payout for the girls.

Hardgrip, you clearly do not know how things work. Places where tip is additional... There is no split of house fee. Places where tip is built in (KAMPs), the girls get minimum 100 and the rest is house fees. If it's 1/2 hour.. girl gets 100, house gets 60. If it's an hour.. girl gets 100, house gets 100. As for tipping 30, it's extremely hard to tip that these days, most will want at LEAST 40. You might be able to get away with 30 IF the massage was 50 or less. I'm not saying they all work like that, but it's generally how it works.

Anyways, I don't see how Eden does it any different. His suggested tip is in line with most places.

Also, you are not seeing the business side of things. There is overhead, rent and utilities, advertising. They are also taking most of the risk. If the place gets raided, the owner gets hit the hardest.

Finally, their financial records or how they conduct their business

But what is your business, is the transaction that you are part of and can review here.

-the fee
-the service provided
-how you felt when it was all over

beyond that, it's none of your business and delving deep into an email to find fault was in my opinion intentional.

I think my posts has been grossly misunderstood.

My point was never about tipping. It is about the house fees. In the email, Eden states the owner does not split the house fees, that what the girl makes is only from tips.

First, I have never heard of any AMP that doesn't split the house fees with their girls since it is the girls who do the work. Any AMP that does this borders on exploitation and will never get my business or from my friends. Eden has the right to run his business however he wants, but I will call exploitation as I see it.

Second, maybe Eden does pay a fixed salary (from house fees or other sources) to their girls to supplement whatever tips their girls are getting. If this is the case, I stand corrected from my first point and I personally apologize to Eden.

Third, it is also possible that Eden recognizes that not splitting the house fees with their workers seems greedy, and his email was to encourage the customers to tip more than usual for a AMP to make up for his greed at not splitting the house fees.

For KAMPs, I always encourage tipping on top of the house fees because I know the girls don't usually get a big share of the house fees. But for the KAMPs to not split the house fees with their girls is just plain wrong.

I have been on this board about 2 years and run my place a little differently. I have never been called out about how I treat my employees. HG, you have made a HUGE leap in interpreting my email, as nowhere does it say I don't pay the girls. It is none of anyone's business what I pay the girls. The point is NOT TIPPING is not acceptable and if it happens you will never get another appointment. This assumes of course there wasn't some sort of issue etc, so take my point with a grain of salt.

Do you really think that 25 year old, hot Japanese girls who know they are the only ones in NYC offering this service would work for me, a non-Japanese owner, if the picture you are painting on this public forum was even a small % true?

HG you specifically posted on the RSS thread that you would spend $100 for the house and $30 for a tip. So you're busting my balls over $10? RSS was dirty, no TS, no AC, unsecure etc. Most RMP's in NYC charge $200 for 'equivalent' services. I fail to see what I'm possibly doing that is inappropriate. Thank goodness I don't measure myself through eyes of others.

Fishbowl, the price for a massage at Eden is the 100 house fees plus whatever you tip. I apologize if you thought the whole shebang is 30; I used 30 as the appropriate amt to tip (on top of the house fees) for a one hour massage with HE. And yes, the massages at Eden is for one hour. The quality of the msaaages are average at best but I'm not under the illusion that we are there for the massages.

I think my original point has been lost in translation. MY point is that it is not about the tip, but whether the owner shares the house fees with the girls who are doing 90% of the work. From Eden's email, the answer is no, that the girls earns only only tips. From there, I gather that the average tip is 30 for an hour massage. In other words, each girl is making 30 per hour while the owner is making 3x that at 100 per hour per customer. If this holds true, the girls at Eden are working under horrible conditions.
