Tipping at a KMP/AMP

Just received the members only email from Will about tipping and I feel I must chime in here. I'm hoping what is said in the email is a mistake.

To explain for those who did not receive the email because they are not in the mailing list, Will said that the house/entrance fee of 100 is ENTIRELY kept by the house; the massage girls work only for tips and Will is suggesting a tip of 40-60 for a HE massage.

Pardon my french but this is fucking ridiculous. First, anything above 30 as tip for a nude HE is crazy, but even if I were to assume that people tip 40 to the girl, the house is still getting double what the massage girl makes; the girl does all the work but still get less than half of what the house get (100 vs 40). This is fucking slavery.

My first question: If you are getting nude HE massages for 30 tip please
list the locations for the rest of us. Are the duration of these massages
for 30 or 60 minutes?

Question 2. I am not a member of the above questioned establishment
and am unaware of its employees negotiating for tips ahead
of time or just accepting what the customer feels
appropriate. If said employee is giving nude massages
and receiving a 20 or 30 tip then they may be getting
upset and complaining to the owner/manager about
compensation. Is there a choice of a 30 or 60 minute
massage? If it is only 60 then a higher tip is probably
expected.


It all comes down to supply and demand. What is the
demand for a japanese massage studio? Will a set price
have to be established to try and keep everyone happy?

No disagreement from me, but what if the girl who does all the work keeps none of the house fees (regardless of what the house fess are)and earns only on tips? From your scenario, the girl will be making $20 an hour. Eden seems to be employing their girls based on this condition.

If what you said is true, great. There should be as close to a 50/50 split between the girl and the house, after tipping, but I'm not sure that was what the email stated. If the house gets double what the girl gets, in any place, it is a pretty unconscionable working condition that is set up.

For FS $$ is the normal price but even though the economy has taken a dive there are more KAMPs and AMPs in NYC then 2 years ago. Perhaps it's because the Korean and Asian economies are worse.

For MP with HEs. I have heard the house fee as low as .60 to as high as $. In my opinion if there is no nudity then .20 per pop suffices with a very good massage. Otherwise if the massage sucks then I am not going back.

This board has too many shills and I know I am expressing something that a lot of hobbyists feel and think but don't post. massageplanet had a good run but its business (I understand) and no business has a guarantee to exist. As for the intelligent questioning of finances, girls come and go. But who is left with a lease and utility bills. But please explain how any of the salaries are our business.
-You have a house fee, pay it or don't go
-You have a minimum $tip pay or don't return

regardless. TO HARDGRIP33, pay what you feel comfortable paying. will is only suggesting a minimum, and that's all he should be suggesting. not the average, not the max,,,but the minimum. you go to an rmp, and when they tell you $200, they're not suggesting that it's the average or max that you can go under. they' specifying a minimum so that you can pay MORE if you like.

The $100 goes basicaly 2/3 to the house and 1/3 girl.

So if you tip $40, it becomes a 50/50 split between the house and the girl, which seems reasonable to me.

I'm hoping that Will misstated in his email but if this is true, it makes my heart boil. Granted that these Japanese massage girls are here on student visas and are not fluent with the language or familiar with the culture, that if not for Will, they will probaby be waitressing. But I'm calling exploitation as I see it, and they are being exploited if they are only working for tips and none of the house fees.

If they are all Indies, I would not expect them to ask for a tip on top. The implication is that the amount asked covers everything. I know one person who offers a particular range of services fr $150. When she gets overly enthusiastic and other things happen, she gets $200, otherwise just what was asked.

well, I can say 2 things. First it is a different way of looking at the dollar structure and the second which is all that counts is the total damages fall into what most consider a normal range. I do know one place I go where the door is $100 and the girl expects another $100 when you hand her 2 fifties she usually kisses the money and you. The service expected is given and everyone is happy.

a tip is usually calculated as a percentage of the cost of the transaction

my tipping scale at a 160/FS amp:

60-house: despite what other people may think, the entirety of the 60 goes to the shop, not the girl. that would mean that any services performed by the gal is not being paid for with the house money. i would equate the house money as the fee to use their facilities, or an entrance fee.

100-girl: despite what others have claimed, this 100 does not fit the definition of a gratuity. if this was the tip, where is the service cost (advertised price of the transaction)? since we already established that the 60/house does not go towards any services at FS amps, if the 100 is a 'tip,' do you guys mean to tell me that the service (TS, bodyrub, FS) is free? if the service cost was included in the 'tip' (which doesn't make sense considering the definition of a gratuity), does that mean that the going rate for sex is less than 100? also, a tip is 'voluntary.' does that mean that after you've received FS, you can walk out without paying any portion of the 100? or that you can choose how much of the 100 to pay?

show me any other service worker than allows the customer to set the price of the transaction AFTER the services were already performed. usually, negotiations for service fees happen before the services are performed.

imo, people are knowingly/unknowingly taking advantage of the fact that these women legally can not charge a fee for some of the services they perform. so they ask for a 'donation' or 'tip' for FS(sex) but there's a silent understanding that it's a 'fee' and it's just semantics to avoid legal issues. the same way some places can perform bodyrubs but not massages. but we know the deal. they perform services that should be compensated for. the tip is separate from the cost of the transaction.

$20-40 tip (12.5-25% of 160): this is to show appreciation for the services received. notice the range is right in line with tipping scales with other service workers.

total damage: 160 for TS, bodyrub and FS without tip. 180-200 for everything including tip depending on the service. (usually 180) not so outrageous if you ask me.

R&T places are different. i've been to a bunch but i only frequent 2 R&T places now. both places charge 60/hr for a TS and massage. i always leave 20 for the HJ (which she can not charge for legally) and 20 tip for the massage. in my mind, 80 for massage and HJ, with 20 tip (25%). 100 total.

i honestly have no clue how people came up with the 100 tip for a HJ thing...

i could be wrong but i have a feeling i agree with most of you regarding the general range to pay for certain services. i just have a different way of breaking down the service cost and tips. i go strictly by the definition of gratuity found in most reference books. many people seem to lump the service cost and gratuity into one number and call it a tip. i think this is where the confusion/misunderstanding happened.

NOTE: This is how i tip, and my logic for doing so. i am in no way trying to influence how other people tip, or whether they tip or not. that is everyone's own personal choice.

People seem to get hung up on the percentages of tips to admittence fee. The houe fee hour/hh is the cost of using the room and the other overhead costs. The tip is based upon level of service, market trends (what the service typically costs, and the caliber of the girl performing the service.

If a girl asks for $100 for a tip for HE and she is not a supermodel, I probably would be gigling hysterically in her face. I have done this before.

The poster that said by not tipping enough, implies he will be getting blacklisted from the place, well that is a very funny comment. The one things about AMPs, is that no force in the universe aside from a supernova, will prevent 9 of them opening up a week. That includes LE, or undertipping. There is a FAR GREATER supply than demand. Stick to your guns.

On the Island I am paying $120 per hour for a 28 year old for FS. It is very doable. Manhattan maybe a little tougher, but certainly can be found in Queens or Brooklyn.

I think pretty much the same way, Sinn. But I do wonder where you are located. I have not seen prices in NYC change in 3 or 4 years. One $50 place went to $55 but that's it. I have seen places offer more service for the same house but a bigger tip, which is OK. I sort of shop by the pound and will spend from a low of $70 total to $200 total per hour, depending on the services offered.
